Owner, Principal Architect

Mark earned his professional degree from the University of Tennessee '94 and has since been passionately creating spaces which give meaning to their residents. He is licensed as an architect in FL, GA, NC, SC, AL, TN, and VA. Mark loves his family, music, writing, downtown Wilmington, the region's glorious beaches, and the slow, meandering, mighty Cape Fear River. He is an avid guitarist. He and his wife Sandie are continually planning and taking road trips to explore the beauty and diversity of the U.S. landscape.

  • Cevann Howe

    Designer

    Cevann earned his Bachelor of Arts in Film from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. After working as a grip on several movies and television shows, he decided to pursue his creative passions in other areas, namely design and architecture. When not at the office, he primarily enjoys spending time with his family and friends. His favorite activities include tennis, ping pong, watching movies and sports, and repairing things around the house.

  • Devanshi Shastri

    Designer

    Devanshi earned her Bachelor of Architecture degree in India. She came to the United States to further her education, earning a Masters degree in Architecture from SUNY Buffalo. She is passionate to learn facts about the universe. Devanshi enjoys indulging in creative art works like painting and origami. She is a big fan of Marvel movies. She loves to travel and is a big time foodie.

  • Lolu Uwadinma

    Designer

    Born in Nigeria, Lolu earned his Bachelor of Architecture degree from Kent State University then moved to Houston to receive a master’s degree from the University of Houston. He recently moved to Wilmington to further his professional career. Although he spends most of his time focused on understanding and working within his field, he has a deep love for creative designs in other fields, including various forms of digital art, animation, poetry, and cartooning. His personal interests also include eating noodles, watching thrillers, reading classical literature, and listening to music.

  • Quincy Rackley

    Designer

    Quincy recently graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Architecture & Environmental Design from Bowling Green State University. Originally from Dayton, Ohio, he relocated to Wilmington to deepen his expertise in the field and escape the harsh weather. His future plans include pursuing a master’s degree in architecture or urban design. Beyond his architectural pursuits, Quincy has a keen interest in fashion, frequently exploring thrift shops and creating unique pieces from scratch. He also thrives on competition, indulging in basketball and golf to fuel his competitive spirit. Music is integral to Quincy's daily life, where he delights in discovering both modern hits and timeless classics to enrich his collection.

  • Ryan Loudermilk

    Marketing Coordinator

    Ryan graduated from UNCW in 2018 with a Bachelor of Arts in Film Studies. In the interim years, Ryan decided to join the family business to help create a cohesive brand and marketing strategy for MLA. Outside the office, you can find Ryan spending time with their partner and pets, drawing, and baking with their 1.5 year old sourdough starter.

  • Sandie Loudermilk

    Operations Director

    Sandie loves serving in an administrative role. With years of experience in the real estate world and several office supervisory roles under her belt, she’s a natural in any Office Manager position. Her favorite thing about being at MLA is getting to work alongside her husband and best friend. Being a southern girl, Sandie is accustomed to mild winters and hot summers, but living near the coast for two decades has spoiled her tremendously. In her down time, Sandie finds joy in adventures with her husband, beach walks & river sunsets, new stationery & pretty pens, and any amount of time spent with her grown kids.

  • Wynn Buzzell

    Designer, Project Manager

    Wynn earned a Master’s degree in architecture from UNCC and a Bachelor’s degree in biology from UNCW. After working as a contractor, carpenter, and designer, he moved from his hometown of Wilmington to Colorado where he worked for nearly a decade as an artist and Creative Director of a sculptural fabrication studio where he built and designed large scale public and private artwork. He has recently returned to Wilmington to be closer to his family and continue pursuing his architecture career. Outside of work, he helps run a theme camp for Burning Man, is an avid gardener, dog dad, 3D printing enthusiast, and genuine science nerd.

    Principal Barkitect

    Our resident emotional and motivational support specialist, Sahara enjoys making her rounds throughout the office each day for project updates and head scratches. Outside of work, you can find Sahara enjoying long strolls through the park with her dad, sharing some scrambled eggs with her mom, or taking a well-deserved nap!
